Slowly but surely businesses are starting to open up in Eastern Connecticut and we can finally get back to seeing live music again! This is good news for the fans and night clubs and great news for the musicians and bands in our area who are tired of performing “virtually”.
The Roadhouse at Comix in Mohegan Sun opened up last week with live music on the Rockin’ Roadhouse Stages. On Friday and Saturday night the fun starts at 8:30 with a performance by the Roadhouse Dancers, followed by live music until 1am.
On Friday June 26th one of our favorite local bands; Branded will take the stage. Branded plays country that rocks and for over 10 years they have been making people dance in Eastern Connecticut.
The lead singer is Christine Fisher who was only 16 when she entered the WCTY Country Music Talent Show in Plainfield a few years back. She finished in the top three, accompanied on guitar by her father.
Anthony Edley plays guitar and sings lead on many songs, while Tony O’Brien plays guitar and band manager Rich Holmes is the drummer.
The band was a finalist for the Wolf Den’s Local’s Live contest in 2017 and won the grand prize @Farmers Cow Best Country Band in New England Contest.
Branded is also scheduled to perform at the Roadhouse on July 4th.
On Saturday June 27th Thirty 6 Red will be performing. The group out of Boston plays a mixture of classic rock, pop and country. They are a favorite of members of the New England Patriots and were invited to perform for them at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.
Thirty 6 Red has been fortunate to open for the biggest of country stars like; Lee Brice, Dustin Lynch, Gretchen Wilson and Phil Vassar.
ON June 3rd Whiskey & Rye from Sandy Hook Connecticut will be on the Rockin’ Roadhouse Stage.
Whiskey & Rye Productions LLC is a theatrical production company specializing in live country music and related dance/crowd participation. What you get from them is a unique concert experience much like a show you might see on a cruise ship.
At the Roadhouse at Comix in Mohegan Sun table seating is first come, first serve and more information is available at Comixroadhouse.com.
