Vixey – Pup Of The Week
🚨 VIXEY NEEDS EMERGENCY SURGERY TODAY 🚨
Vixey is a sweet older beagle who found herself scared and alone in a shelter in Georgia.
Today a large bladder stone was found during Vixey’s vet appointment. A stone of this size puts Vixey at an immediate risk of bladder rupture and death.
Vixey is scheduled to come to CT on 3/6 but she cannot wait until then, this surgery needs to happen NOW.
This life saving surgery is estimated at $1800.

Hector is almost 6 months old and already the kind of dog who stays with you forever.
He lives with diabetes insipidus and will need lifelong desmopressin eye drops — which he takes like a champ most days.
Hector is the ultimate snuggle bug. He gently hugs your arm, lounges with ALL his toys nearby, gives the sweetest nose boops… and firmly believes in the cheese tax 🧀 (he knows that bag sound).
More than his adorable quirks, Hector is gentle, intuitive, and deeply loving. When his human foster brother was sick, Hector never left his side.

Woof Wednesday Spotlight: Norma Jean
The little lady everyone seems to walk past… except you.
Some dogs come to us with puppy breath and wiggles.
And then there are the quiet ones — the ones who have lived enough life to know what really matters.
-Meet Norma Jean.
A tiny 10-lb Yorkie mix with a silvered muzzle, wise eyes, and a heart that is somehow bigger than her little pocket-sized body. She’s been patiently waiting for a whole month… and not one single application has come in. Not one.
She doesn’t understand why.
She curls up in her bed, watches other dogs get chosen, and still greets us every morning with the softest tail wag — the kind that says, “Maybe today is my day.”
Norma Jean is estimated to be around 8 years old. She’ll need some dental TLC, just like any senior girl who’s earned her smile lines. But her spirit? Pure gold. She is gentle, endlessly cuddly, loves a good couch nap, and wants nothing more than to be someone’s little shadow.
