When we first met Ren, he was absolutely terrified.

He was so scared of people, so shut down, and so unsocialized that there were concerns he might not be able to be saved. Some believed euthanasia was his only option.

But we couldn’t give up on him.

We brought Ren to Connecticut anyway, hoping that with patience, love, and time, he’d learn that the world wasn’t as scary as he thought.

And what a difference those things have made.

Now we’re watching a whole new puppy emerge. ❤️ He’s starting to smile. His tail is wagging more each day. His playful personality is shining through, and little by little, he’s discovering that not all humans are bad.

Every tiny victory—a curious sniff, a happy bounce, a trusting glance—is a reminder of why we never gave up on him.

Ren doesn’t need a perfect family. He just needs one that’s willing to continue showing him what love looks like. In return, you’ll get to watch one of the most incredible transformations imaginable.

Some dogs just need someone to believe in them.

Look at those ears. One minute they’re perked up with curiosity, the next they’re flopping every which way as she explores the world around her. ❤️
