The Friends of the Salem Free Public Library will be holding their Annual Plant Sale from May 7-
9, 2026, at the Salem Free Public Library, 264 Hartford Road, Route 85, Salem, CT. The hours
for the Sale are Thursday, May 7th from 10AM-6PM; Friday, May 8th from 10AM-5PM and
Saturday, May 9th from 10AM-2PM.
Plants are mostly from local gardens and include indoor and outdoor plants, including Aloe,
Christmas Cactus, Butterfly bushes, lemon balm, and ornamental grasses. This year were also
expanding the number of vegetables, herbs and annual flowers we will have to offer at bargain
prices.
Plant prices are: Perennials, Annuals, and Vegetables, Pots $5 each , Trees, shrubs, roses and
vines $10 – $20 depending on size, also some specialty items for Mother’s Day including
Hanging Baskets. Some items have separate pricing.
We also have an assortment or ornamental pots and vases for sale. We have an assortment of
other garden items sometimes, come check us out. The Salem Seniors will be selling assorted
Christmas ornaments.
Setup for the sale is on Wednesday, May 6th, all day at the Library. To donate plants, pots or for
